Dongho, resident maknae of the vastly underrated group, U-KISS, has made the announcement that he is now going to withdraw from U-KISS and live the life of your normal every day person. Within the announcement itself is also the reason why he'll be giving up the life of the celebrity which can see be seen translated below (courtesy of allkpop).
Dongho will be absent from team promotions starting with U-KISS' new album which will be released this month, and he will be putting a hold on his activities as a celebrity.
Starting from the beginning of this year, Dongho's determination about being active as a celebrity weakened, and he has revealed that he doesn't believe his health condition and stamina fit well with the life of a singer... After a long discussion with his parents, we have decided to accept their decision... Dongho expressed that he wanted to live a normal life rather than that of a celebrity.
Although the decision of Dongho's leave from the group is one that causes harm to the team's activities, the members have all decided to accept this change as well... Although we feel burdened by the empty spot, the group will release a new album as scheduled as six members.aHonestly, I completely understand why Dongho would get tired of life as a Kpop idol and want to just give up, go home, and rest on the couch for several months to recover from all the stress that comes with the idol life. Ever since his role in the movie Don't Cry Mommy Dongho has been receiving a vast amount of hate from netizens criticizing his lack of acting skills which has caused him so much stress he's now sick.
KISSmes themselves have been surprisingly accepting of his decision and wish him luck as he departs from the realm of idol-dom. I myself hope that he can recover from the torture he's been through all because of a simple seven minute role in a movie that he botched in such an unfortunate matter. Hopefully, the transition will go smoothly and he'll be able to live the peaceful life of your normal everyday person.
So what do you think of the situation? Do you think U-KISS can survive without Dongho's presence in the group?
