Giving Thanks to K-Pop on Tumblr
[better late than never]
In this day in age, we never know how good something is until it's gone. Whether it's having a cell phone, a new hat, Internet or... Tumblr, we always take advantage of it, thinking that it's forever there but never realize the importance of it until it's gone. To cut into what I was saying, to remind everyone for five days, K-Pop Ranter is releasing an article each day giving thanks to just some part of K-Pop. It's day three out of the five and yesterday, I made the perfect Thanksgiving menu featuring K-Pop idols which you can check out here along with the first day's one which celebrates Nation's Taylor Swifts. Wondering what today is? It's the day to give thanks to one of the most awesome websites on the planet, Tumblr, which compiles pictures, gifs and videos of everything yet nothing... and I'm putting my faves that I found on this amazing site.
Disclaimer: I own none of these pictures.

Song Suggestion Saturday - Week 1 - Slow & Simple
Whether you're a fan of boy groups or not, this song is definitely addicting. What I like about it most is that it's not one of the common love or heartbreak songs and instead, digs into the roots of the group Bangtan Boys with the song meaning... some of the members even rewriting the lyrics themselves. All in all, great track and I definitely suggest giving it at least one listen (unless you're a priss and are scared of cuss words).
Next on the list is Girls' Generation's Taeyeon's OST BYE for movie, Mr. Go. The sweet sound of Taeyeon's vocals accompanied by the slowness of the backtrack simply just caresses and completes the song... in fact, this OST actually makes me want to watch the movie! If you're a fan of ballads or just a fan of Taeyeon, BYE is most definitely the song for you.
Media: T-ara N4 ft. Chris Brown in Countryside Life Teaser... Oh, no.
After the little incident at the Palms Memorial Day Pool Party, Queens everywhere were looking for T-ara N4 for redeem themselves, now, finding hope with the producer of the remix cr.KNOTCH was caught posting on Instagram, and writing:
Just finished mixing t-ara N4 "Countryside Life" remix feat @ChrisBrown produced by me !!!! Get ready for release soon!!!!! Everytimeyouhearmymusic
From what I can hear so far, added to the song is an American version of the JYP whisper:
Every time you hear my music
Followed by the extremely tasteless rap:
Put dat ass on the floor, I don't think you know what you're really in fo'. Bottle after bottle with a million ho's, Do a million shows with T-ara N4.
To be honest, I was going to say something but I don't really think I have to, this allkpop commenter already saying everything I wanted to say in a nutshell:
What do you think of the T-ara N4 Countryside Life KNOTCH remix with Chris Brown? Are you drinking that "countryside lemonade" and are excited for it or are you dreadful of it? Comment below!
Media: Girls' Day's video teaser for 'Female President'
Just simply a few hours ago, Girls' Day released the rather unexpected video teaser for their upcoming album Female President, accompanied by the girls twisting, turning, kissing... yet, nothing relating to being a Female President.
As said above, this is a quite unexpected video teaser, I, after hearing the news that they were going to release an album entitled Female President, thought they were pushing towards a more sophisticated and subtle sexy rather than the extremely broad approach showcased in the teaser. Not to mention, I really don't like the concept Girls' Day has been pushing for as of late, their last song Expectation definitely being something much different from expectations and this new song, Female President, probably going to be the same thing, Girls' Day, rather than focusing on their talent, focusing more on aesthetic values with both songs.
Now, what do you think of Girls' Day's teaser of Female President?
Also, if you haven't checked out our review for the released music video of Female President, you can check it out right here.
Media: A Rookie Group that you should check out
Big Hit Entertainment's newest boy group, BTS aka Bulletproof Boy Scouts (weird meaning... I thought it meant 'Behind-the-Scenes' at first) as well as Bangtan Boys released their debut music video just a few days ago, Engrish-y entitled 'No More Dream' and performed by the 7 members of BTS, Jin, SUGA (wut?), V, JungKook, J-Hope (total stripper name), Jimin and Rap Monster (no, this is not a joke!), I really do encourage you to watch the video.
The song and music video actually aren't half-bad (although you can definitely tell they were trying as hard as they could to act like they had tough) and the Bangtan Boys will definitely be on the list of few rookie groups that I look out for.
Media: Henry, the new SM solo artist
Truthfully, when the picture teasers for SM Entertainment's new solo artist came out, I was a bit curious about who this so-called new artist was at first. His body did kinda look familiar, and it turned out to to Henry from Super Junior-M that was to debut as SM entertainment's solo artist.Henry Lau has already been in SM Entertainment so to me, him being "new" is not news to me, but him being a solo now? That is new. I wonder what Henry will bring as an artist to the K-pop world. And although so far he has shown he is talented in Super Junior-M and in Younique's Maxstep, to me, it sounds as SM entertainment is rushing comebacks and debuts a bit too soon.
Watch the released teaser featuring Super Junior's Kyuhyun and SHINee's Taemin below.
Anyway, with that being said, what do you guys think of Henry becoming the next solo artist in SM Entertainment? Will this be an all-kill for SM to get back to number one (cause apparently, they've been slacking for the first-quarter of this year)? Haha, leave us a comment below.
Media: 2NE1 CL's Teaser Photo for 'The Baddest Female'... Uh
 |
Only a few days ago, YG Entertainment released the first teaser photo for 2NE1's CL solo track entitled 'The Baddest Female'... and, well.
I am utterly speechless. Yeah, it's nice. It's cool.
But... she's not gorgeous in it.
Nope.
Don't get the wrong idea, I like 2NE1.
But, this? This, for me is absolutely too much.
Her clothes from the waist down. CHECK HER CLOTHES FROM THE WAIST DOWN.
And that thing on her face. It's cool, very cool... but no so cool if it's compared to her outfit.
Not to mention, the background's strange also.
IS YG'S STYLIST ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING?
