Review: Infinite, Request

It hasn't been long since the release of their wonderfully amazing song, Destiny (*cough*and L's dating scandal*cough*) but in the extremely fast paced world of Kpop, it may have felt like an Infinite-ly long amount of time since their last comeback to their fans. Finally *sarcasm*, Infinite has returned with a commercial/music video for their latest song, Request. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out below!

The Video

Theme/Story: First thing's first: I'm confused as to the nature of this video. Is it just a music video with very heavy product placement or is it a commercial for Samsung Galaxy products. It says it's a music video but is it really? All throughout the video, I see the Samsung Note 3
I hereby dub this tech porn. Shit should be banned.
and Samsung Gear that comes along with it. Admittedly, I really want the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 so thank you Infinite for rubbing in the fact that I can't afford them. There is so much product placement and dicking around that there isn't even a story to be had (and barely a dance for that matter). It's just Infinite doing their thing and Samsung taking over the world with their amazing products. I really like that most of them aren't even doing anything too productive at the beginning. They're just too busy playing around with their technology and dancing. Although, they might have been working on fixing up their own choreography.

And what about that girl that shows up for a mere 2 seconds at the beginning and the end of the video? It was like they were trying to go with something here but forgot to actually making a story surrounding this mysterious love interest. The whole video is just fucking around, staring at cell phones, and a little bit of dancing sprinkled at the end.

Visuals: I'm not saying anyone in Infinite looks bad or anything but they just look so plain. There weren't many changes made since Destiny and honestly, they looked much better in Destiny with the cool make up and awesome outfits. I know this song isn't as intense or energetic as Destiny but they could have done something more to incorporate the smooth melody into a good story or something

This. This is good.
Dance: You don't really get to see much of the dance due to the fact that the commercial music video suffocates you with so much Samsung Galaxy that we don't really get to see much of any dance until they all get together and do a dance that is so obviously marketed towards the phone and gear that it hurts. They even do a dance with the phone in their hands (which made me worry about the safety of said phones) and when their final dance ends, their ending pose is with their wrists down and pointed in a manner that brings your attention straight to the gear on their wrists. There is, however, one small section that doesn't focus so much on the phone and gear and more on the dance. This is what the whole music video should have been like if they didn't want it to turn into a huge commercial.

The Song

Unfortunately, the song sounds like your typical Korean boy group song but done in the style of Infinite. This makes the song barely stand out from other songs released by other groups during the year. Of course there are parts of the song here and there that I like but they're so small and dispersed that there is really no use talking about it. I'm not saying the song is the worst thing to ever clog my ears with the sound of someone taking a shit, it's just... meh. Infinite has done better and they can do better.

So what do you think of the whole shabang? Do you like the song or do you share the same sentiments as me?

Also, someone please let me know whether or not this is a commercial. I am infinitely baffled.

L is a Fan of Reducing, Reusing & Recycling Plastic Since He's Dating Do Yeon

Everyone! It's national date week! Grab a partner and if you don't have one, find a porn video and pretend! INFINITE's very own L, after f(x)'s Sulli and T-ara's Soyeon, is now in his own dating controversy. This time? The most thirsty piece of specimen I have came across, uljjang Do YeonThere's been so many articles surrounding this piece of news so if you truly don't know what's going on, here's the 411:

Thirsty as ever Do Yeon took a selca on SNS with a mysterious hand pulling at her hair. The hand? The possession of Infinite's Myungsoo, his bracelet telling it to be so.

If that wasn't enough, here's more: there's also images of him going on supermarket date with her.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're not convinced yet? Let's take a good look at their Twitter messages, Myungsoo writing things basically admitting his love for a certain person, Thirst Yeon making the most obvious message which, if read vertically, would say "I miss you, Myungsoo-ah" and a picture of Myungsoo with a different uljjang than Do Yeon, a few words typed publicly or said behind closed doors then L crying a few days post-incident, gullible fans believing oppar was crying for joy.

Honestly, I don't see why it's getting to the extent of fancafe closing, fangirls hating and feeling betrayed when seriously, he can't date all fifty billion of 'em and netizens spewing hatred. What I'm sitting here worrying about are two things:

1. Y DAT GURL SO THIRST?!
2. Why SM (since Infinite's now in SM C&C) are so lazy
with responses.

I mean, to explain the first, it's obvious she wants the public to know the relationship. Does it make her B-class link netizens are howling through their asses? No. It's just makes her attention-filled. Now, I'm not 100% they're dating but if they are, they had to have been for a good ass while since apparently sasaengs knew it but kept quiet and she had the nerve to do all that stuff and him as if they were a long loving couple. But being that... ya know? She wants it to go public, it'll hurt her that he's denying it so aggressively, their relationship probably not being able to last well and long after unless they were at an equal understanding.

And #2, SM sucks so bad at this. It's either they suspiciously wipe the world of all articles pertaining the scandal, using their power for fored removal or they spew shit like "Oh, she was sick so he came over shirtless to assist her" or "Sulli was feeling bad though I remember other SM performers were basically dying of sleep deprivation but still performed to the best of their abilities" which just really fucks up artists. I mean, there's nothing to use as an excuse for this other than their current one, stating they're "close friends" but can't they work magic like they did with Yoona and Kim Soo Hyun's dating scandal and delete the articles?

Or is it too hard for 'em? Two seconds wasted that you could've been using having Lee Soo Man's son making shitty tracks like Wolf.

You go, SM.

And you go, too, readers. On the comment section and show your support of either or side.

Rant: TASTY and possibly INFINITE Are Set to Perform in SM World Tour

So... TASTY is joining SM's World Tour and INFINITE might, too.

If you weren't hiding under a bush for the past few weeks, you'd know that SM C&C (subsidiary of SM Entertainment) combined with WOOLLIM Entertainment to make a company called WOOLLIM Label. Only to put the nail in the coffin, it was recently confirmed that one of WOOLLIM's pride and joys, the TASTY Twins, will be performing at SM's World Tour... and WOOLLIM's biggest pride and joy, INFINITE? Yeah, they're currently discussing whether they should join, too and to be honest, it looks like they will. As expected -- there's worry. SM fans and WOOLLIM fans are shitting themselves, wondering why the world is so cruel and why the fuck they even signed in the first place and well… I can't blame 'em.

I am extremely curious as who's the savage brute who even came up with this stupid idea, merging INFINITE and TASTY fans (small coming) with a whole companies' fans (huge coming) and expecting rainbows when obviously, the company's idols probably have little to no experience with them and will be as cold with each other as Antartica in the winter.

Another thing I'd like to mention, why do these companies think it'll work out? On one hand, SM fans come for SM artists only and by the looks of it, aren't fond of this whole INFINITE-is-now-one-of-them business, either, therefore, would probably not cheer for them as much as other artists. On the other hand, INFINITE fans would go solely for INFINITE, wanting a bajillion songs from THEM playing and hours of THEIR seven favorite guys in the world. Why would anyone in the right mind go for like 10 minutes of them, lots of artists they don't care for and at most 3 of their tracks.

Is that--
Why the--
Am I--
What is this?

Now, I'm not a huge fan of either companies or groups strongly (though I'd take some of Dongwoo's ass) but seriously, this is just leading to disaster. Likewise, we all know SM kids are crazy as fuck so I really wouldn't be surprised if INFINITE got a black ocean because the fans were 'trying to send a message' through... right?

What do you think of the confirmed appearance of TASTY and currently in discussion appearance of INFINITE? Cringe-worthy or fuck that shit(you have no other options)? Voice your opinions below.
