Kemy's Agency Finally Releases a Statement About the Diss Track
If you haven't heard yet, a member of the rookie group, A.KOR, Kemy released a rather intense diss track aimed toward YG and Park Bom. After Bom's staff attempted to retaliate with mixed results and Blackjacks all over the globe shat all over their Facebook and Twitter pages causing them to take their pages down entirely, a twitter user posing as Kemy trolled the media by posting a fake apology translated below:
Upon seeing the status update, netizens either reacted by saying that she shouldn't be apologizing or by believing she did the right thing because she showed major disrespect towards her senior in the industry. Little did they know, they were falling for some troll's trick.I didn’t know my diss toward Park Bom senior would gain so much attention…I feel very apologetic to fans of 2NE1 and Park Bom senior….I’m so sorry, everyone. Please show a lot of love for A.KOR!!
When I first saw the news, I was a little disappointed. Part of releasing a diss track is that you have to be unapologetic about it and if you take it back unless you want to look like a wimp who couldn't handle the backlash of trash talking someone. Luckily, it turned out to be fake but it didn't end there.
It was soon after the company released a statement saying that the twitter account was fake that they released yet another:
The agency showed concern as they continue to attract negative attention from YG fans and even had to deal with a false apology on Twitter through an impersonator as well as diss tracks from Park Bom’s fans.
It was only a diss track meant for submission into a rap competition, nothing more and nothing less, which is why we have remained quiet on the topic. However, as an 18-year-old girl is in great shock over all this, we will finish this week’s set schedule and then wrap up promotions. So after all the shitty diss tracks released by fans in Park Bom's stead, a fake Twitter post, and all around negative attention received from YG fans and Blackjacks, DOO Republic finally spoke up about the ordeal. At first glance, I thought it might have been an official apology from the company in the hopes of calming things down. However, upon closer inspection, the word "apology" or any word or phrase close to that meaning is present in the statement and I'm not the only one who noticed either.
I'm unsure as to whether DOO Republic is taking a smart approach to this situation or not. I do think it's a good idea to stop A.KOR's promotions. However, it may not have been the best idea to basically say "fuck off, it was for a rap competition that was none of your business". They also tried to play the pity card for Kemy who most likely did not intend for this to happen or at the very least did not foresee it going this far.
I don't think this is the end of all this diss track drama, either. Angry Blackjacks are not happy with the lack of an apology while netizens outside of the fandom believe Kemy shouldn't have to apologize.
So what do you guys think? Should an official apology be released? If not, how do you think DOO Republic should handle the situation? Leave your comment below!
A.KOR's Kemy Disses Park Bom
So as you all should know by now if you have been following the site long enough, 2NE1's Park Bom is my ultimate bias as well as Girls' Generation's Tiffany. Regardless of the plasticity of their faces and their worsening singing techniques, I'm still attracted to them in a way that you can coin as a 'girl crush'. So as you can guess, I was kind of shocked when I saw the news blowing up that a rookie group member went to such levels to diss my fave. So shocked that I decided to replace the HyunA's Red and HA:TFELT's Ain't Nobody review (if you're wondering, they were both good songs, in my opinion) to type the shit out of this. If you haven't listened to the track below, you can definitely do so now:
Your bloated, swollen face.
You’re not satisfied no matter what you put in it.
You’re going to become an old person next to an ugly child
You drag your entire body and slap it onto your face
You’re at the point of addiction, “STOP IT!”
X? O? The answer is X, toxic.
Someone call the doctor, someone stop her.
You’re about the same as the Gangnam Beauty [who got plastic surgery 28 times]
You’re weak, and you fell into drugs.
Did the drugs fall into the jelly box?
Who glanced over the 4 pills that disappeared?
Since when were the prosecutors so nice?
The Samsung employee had 29 pills, and was detained at the detention center
You had 82 pills, and why are you innocent? They’re super cool.
The ambassador of the Ministry of Justice? You had a very fitting role, huh?
You took the title of the first smuggling-dol, huh? Amphetamine sh*t.
The articles were taken down so well. YG is no joke.
Try to cover up the sky with your palm. You just got your case suspended??
It must be nice for your fans to cover you up.
I’m jealous that your CEO writes a novel for you.
You set fire on your Roommate friends, and they must feel chaotic, because the corn exploded
You’ll hide behind your influential label and then come back when it gets quiet
Radio Star or Healing Camp, or anywhere. There won’t be a blow to you, huh?
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can’t nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let’s go party
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can’t nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let’s go party NOW

First things first: she's actually not that bad at rapping. In fact, she's pretty good. Second, different from what numerous media outlets say... or at least, don't say, A.KOR's Kemy released this track to Soundcloud to participate in a supposed rap competition. Whether she did this rap for publicity/attention or not is still up in the air. For all we know, someone could have found her rap which she wished to keep only between the rap competition and herself, realized it was from a rookie group and then uploaded it to YouTube as well as showed a bunch of people who in turn got the news out.
When listening to this track, I immediately heard a substitution for 2NE1's CL's famous intro to their debut track Fire and my jaw dropped to the incorporation of the someone who well, isn't even Park Bom, to prove her point. Likewise, later in the rap she even incorporated EXO and their brilliant song Overdose for a reason I'm even more confused about.
I don't want to be the kind of person who jumps at A.KOR's Kemy's throat however, I don't entirely want to defend her. I feel like, even though I'm utterly in love with Park Bom, if she actually did not use this rap for attention, I have nothing to really be angered about. Why? Because I'm so used to netizens, national as well as international netizens like on Netizenbuzz who claim they're above others when in fact, are the exact same, say the exact same things about Park Bom constantly yet try to cover it up with "I'm looking out for Bom" or "she needs help" when there's no genuine concern. (Yes, I fucking said it.) Not to mention, it's malicious, yes, but if she was using this incorporation for what I believe it to be so, it's none of my business.
What I found funny is how defenders of the rap say that this is just a 'blowing off steam' kind of thing. Even if she was blowing off steam, why on earth would Park Bom's plastic surgery be something to be so angered about/stressed about that she just had to rap about it? The 'blowing off steam' ploy is nothing but the same hypocritical imbeciles "looking out for Bom by insulting her to her own death (I would not be surprised if Park Bom is suicidal at this point)" looking for excuses for more insults to go away unnoticed.
As you can probably tell, the thing that really disgusted me is her need to not only insult Park Bom's face but to also insult YG Entertainment's promotion of 2NE1 as a whole in Japan. So what they made a Japanese version of Come Back Home? Regardless of the controversy surround Bom, there's no need to bring the whole group down because they want to make money just like every single other idol in the business, including herself. It's a known fact that Japan rakes in the most money and if 2NE1 and the agency feels the need to go to Japan, why is this so much of a concern to the rapper that she has to call Park Bom to come back to Korea in which she's receiving a shit storm of hate?
The drug scandal bit, if anything, was the most understandable piece to put however, there should have been different wording because realistically, there's just parts of it that really could have been less... malicious? Calling Park Bom weak in that piece definitely was the biggest thing in my opinion. I'm almost positive that Bom has already listened to this track if even the coordi could talk about it. We all know for a fact that Park Bom is not in the state for this bull shit (cue the hypocritical netizens "looking out for her") but is it really necessary to note that? Like, even if this is to be some sort of rapping diss battle, the insult of making fun of someone's mental state is the lowest of the fucking low and well, disgusting.
joins idol group to become famous; doesn't know how to get fame the right way
What are your thoughts with the rap diss? Stay classy, guys. Calling out full fandoms is not a good representation because this is clearly simply between A.KOR's Kemy and all the people she summoned through her rap. Likewise, death threats from fandoms are as low as the track.
2-4-1 Review: 2NE1 Happy & 2NE1 Come Back Home
March 2nd was such a glorious day for me. Not only did my favorite pop girl group, Little Mix, release their sporty single, Word Up, but one of my favorite Korean pop girl groups, 2NE1, released their music videos (yes, I italicized the s. There are more than one!) for their long-awaited comeback. You hate 2NE1? Fine. But you can't deny that after watching these videos, Come Back Home and Happy, your life wasn't significantly changed in some way. And because we all realize that that sentence is true, I felt like putting out a better late than never Two For One music video review, analyzing both 2NE1's most publicized video, Come Back Home, as well as their surprise music video, Happy, just because I feel like it.
Tell me honestly right now: I am not the only one who watched this music video more than once. Not only does it kind of remind me of Final Fantasy or some shit (I love FF; don't get me started), but I was kind of trying to decode what the hell all this virtual shit was supposed to mean without an explanation from YG Entertainment to aid me. Still clueless, I'm nonchalant about it since genuinely, I don't care that much cause this music video is the fucking shit. Am I the only one who shat myself when CL came in rapping or talking or whatever-ing from 1:51 to 2:16? She was beautiful. Don't even tell me that this girl is ugly after watching that part because I almost turned lesbian.
You're probably not into scat, but I bet you'd enjoy me shitting on your chest just cause I'm flawless.
In fact, all the girls looked beautiful in this music video and I can tell YG Entertainment spent a crap load of time on this, mother fucking masterpiece. Although, I'm not exactly used to Minzy's new nose, she looked sexy as hell. And that part Dara was all like "CUM, BABY BABY, CUM BABY BABY" and they went into all that Illuminati shit I was like bouncing in my seat! I've never had so much feels for a single music video maybe because 2NE1 music videos barely ever appear in the first place.
Final Rating: 4.5/5
Final Rating: 4.5/5
I recommend you watch this video since if I give anything higher than a 4, you know that shit good. I suggest listening to the Unplugged Version, too if you don't like the big beat.
For starters, this was the video that nosy cameramen and paparazzi found Bom shooting for around a year ago. For seconds, Dara's hair looks like shit. And for thirds, this music video made me feel more uncomfortable than Happy at the first watch. Their outfits were a joke, they tried to act sexy, fierce and cute in one whole video which was supposed to mostly be cute and well, I just wasn't used to seeing 2NE1 doing shit like that.
Was the video bad? No. It reminded me of one of my favorite 2NE1 videos, Do You Love Me, because it was just so meaningless (I'm saying this in the nicest way possible) and fun. Was the song bad? No. It was really good, in my honest opinion and is definitely a song I could probably listen to when I'm sad similar to Girls' Generation's Be Happy. But I can't put my finger on it. Something is just off about this music video.
Final Rating: 3/5
CL Offends Muslims... For Doing Absolutely Nothing
After releasing a chart-topping album with the rest of the 2NE1 girls, the charismatic and bombastic leader of one of the top girl groups, CL, has found herself under some pretty boiling waters, if you ask me. Netizens from all over the globe are angrily spewing comments of hatred as if anyone that famous'll read after taking a nice and relaxing dip in all their dough.
CL's solo track, MTBD, which was found in their Crush album and realistically wasn't as bad as The Baddest Female, apparently sparks up some religious controversy (apparent use or mockery to the Qur'an) to listeners which causes them to spit fiery rage all over the Interweb. If you haven't listened to the track and played the little Where's Waldo game to find out where the reference to religion was, you can check it out below.
Now, now. I'm not Muslim. But I listened to the full track. Don't get me wrong, but I didn't hear shit until everyone started hollering and hooting about it and even then, it still took me a while till I actually found out what was happening. The apparent 'reference' to the Muslim's Holy Book seems to me to be something fangirls have delusions over after oppar shoving his hairy cock down their throats. Believe me, I will bet all my jelly beans that that sound (legit! it was a sound. it wasn't a word, a phrase, a sentence... it was mother fucking background music, for fuck's sake) was not meant for mockery, mimicry or mean-y business since I'm pretty sure not even producers made note of the sound. This... outburst is ridiculous. Wishing for the girl to go to hell, angrily raging hateful comments online... death threats just because of something CL didn't even do... aren't some people taking this too far? I'm not saying that this doesn't deserve an apology from YG Entertainment. In fact, I feel like YG Entertainment's best bet to shut some people up would be apologizing and saying that it wasn't meant intentionally. However, I mean, even if it was a fucking word, do you really think she, CL, actually would want to call out a group of people like that who she knows would give her a shit load of hate?
Would she?
My legitimate answer is no especially being that 2NE1 is one of the only groups around who haven't even been hounded by netizens for racism, therefore, culture and holy books would probably be even more rare for them to bring up intentionally.
So why are you calling her out for this simple... happening (wouldn't label it as "mistake", to be honest)?
All This SNSD & 2NE1 Postponing is Giving Me a Headache
It's one thing to have YG Entertainment postpone the shit out of things.
It's another thing to have SM Entertainment postpone the shit out of things.
But it sure as hell is yet another thing to have both companies do it simultaneously to show their competition.
And that's what both of the largest companies are doing with their most popular girl groups yet. Girls' Generation and 2NE1 are both said to be having a comeback... however, we will never know when since the second the companies released they were coming back, they've been postponing the shit out of each other, wondering who will finally just give up and release their comeback first for the sake of the fans who are shitting themselves, waiting for a new release.
I' m actually kind of excited about this since it might not be an all-dance video judging by the teaser?
As everyone should know, Girls' Generation and 2NE1 have been said 'rivals' since however long we can even remember. Coming from two rivaling companies, both of the groups having two completely opposite 'feels', both of their fans fighting through the interwebs ever since SONEs got tired of fighting Wonderfuls, ELFs, Cassies... yeah, everyone, for years, Girls' Generation and 2NE1 sure have a lot on their backs now and it seems like, as I remember my High School AP English teacher told me after we just got got finished reading Antony's Oration (for those who don't know, you're probably too young to have read Julius Caesar), if you want to win if a fight, it's better to show your side last and speak last since you'll have the longer lasting impression on the audience since everyone will forget what the hell the first one was saying... which is probably the same advice both companies are going by.
In any means, just like a few years ago with Girls' Generation and 2NE1 had the same "head-to-head" competition aka with Tell Me Your Wish and I Don't Care (wasn't really head-to-head, 2NE1 released their song shortly after Girls' Generation did), I feel as if SM Entertainment is now striking back for the extra two dollars they probably didn't make back then with delaying the shit out of Girls' Generation's comeback with every delay of 2NE1's song until YG finally drops the act and gives up then both of them literally do comeback head-to-head and on the same day, to show who the real winner is... and to show YG Entertainment that SM Entertainment is sure not going to break that fast when there's a clear challenge.
Review: 2NE1 - Missing You
After failed promises and false tales from YG Entertainment this whole year, they've actually managed to follow through with something--2NE1's comeback songs. And with Falling in Love and Do You Love Me being the two previous songs which seemed to get negative reviews despite them being... not that bad, 2NE1 has released their third and seemingly final song of the year entitled Missing You and changing the sentiments towards their whole year's efforts. As routine, watch the video below if you haven't watched it and be engrossed with this better late than never review since I spent some good ass time on it.
The beginning 'oo~ oo~ ah-ah-ah~ ah-ah-ah' already set the mood for me that this was going to be eery and have a somewhat repentant feel through out, getting me ready for something new from 2NE1 after their year of upbeat releases. I was immediately reminded of It Hurts, rather than the general public's quick comparison to their song, Lonely, mostly because the layout and the overall effects I would say (can't put my finger on the correct word) are more similar to that song, however, all three videos having their own distinctive qualities. Minzy shined immensely with her vocals as usual, her looks noticeably altered but giving her a more feminine and appealing charm therefore, not stirring up negative emotions in me like it normally would, and my plastic Bommy looking definitely better than she did in Falling in Love and more like she did in the past... like I Love You days in this video, making me happy, as well.
Admit it, my face nor my singing were that bad in this video. shut up n00bs.
What I can't get away from though are the colors and symbolism in this piece, the whole thing being perfectly coordinated rather than previous failures.
That suited man, whoever he is, seems to me not like the most common beliefs of the past boyfriend/lover and instead, seems like the personified form of their feelings (deep shit right hurr). The movements like falling on the ground, sprawling around aimlessly, twisting in pain, looking at Minzy at around 00:27 as if not a real person and instead, a spirit, all represent the feelings of a regular human being when they're missing someone special and shouldn't be ignored.
I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL
The nakedness of CL, as YG highlighted, was the embracement of a woman's beauty when bare, and through my interpretation, shows the truth behind feelings which shouldn't be covered up and emphasizes the naturalness of her expression of sadness (i been smokin' couple o' malis to get dis one, guise). Either way, this nude scene really added the extra umph to the music video as this hasn't been done before in a non-raunchy, nonsexual way before in K-Pop (or at least through my knowledge) and I really want to praise whoever thought of adding this because it really convinced me that this was on the top of 2NE1's music videos of this year or even of their whole discography.
Lastly, the repeated theme of falling, floating/flying or going backwards/downwards. Yes, I caught it, kids. I watched this video so many times and saw that about mostly everything that was inanimate (not including the masked man or any of the 2NE1 members walking backwards) was doing at least one of these three actions and while it's small, I can see that it symbolizes regret, wanting to go back in time or straight-up sadness. Things like the snow placed added the cold feel to the already eery and sad video as well as the subtle wind.
I still hate the guy who left me, my heart the burned out coldly is still missing you, missing you, missing you~
Sorry, Teddy, but you have been bad with all of the above this year, but to make it up to you, I have to say, you did a damn good job writing this song and I hope you remember that ballads are the way to go. Also, to whoever is the makeup artist, you did a damn good job with Dara. A damn good job.
Ang ang, mother fuckers.
In the end, damn good song, damn good music video and damn good 2NE1. With this song, they've really raised my overall... feels for 2NE1 this year and I'm pretty sure everyone else's, and I'm more than thankful that the four girls are getting the positive feedback they've been deprived of for... ever.
What do you think of Missing You? Terribly tacky or fucktasticly fucktastic? Comment in the comment section below.
CL sits on Jeremy Scotts lap; Koreans Suspect Anal
Obviously, 2NE1's CL is the most evil person on the plane, releasing her solo music video, The Baddest Female and getting a shit load of negative reviews, doing what she usually does, raps, in Falling in Love and getting hate for that, appearing in the music video Do You Love Me? because yes, she's still in 2NE1 and acted like she snorted all my bath salts because the video was meant for fun, smoking a fake cigarette and posting it on Instagram and being labeled a 'try hard' as usual even though her label-mate G-Dragon had a picture around the same time of 'rainbow smoke' and getting only 'dayyyyyyyyyback opppppparrrr!' and now, sitting on her friend and Adidas designer, Jeremy Scott's, lap in what looks like underwear on him.
Guys.
Jeremy is gay.
Let's get that straight. He never said he was gay to the public but who needs to say that they're gay when they're obviously gay? Do you now have to pounce around wearing 'I'm GHEI' shirts, screaming 'I'M GHEIIIIII' wherever you go and having public butt sex with your gay partner, Rico, to get the message across or--
I'm not going to say this picture was one hundred percent clean.
I mean, CL does look like she's wearing no pants and only underwear, surrounded by people who look like they would be willing to participate in an orgy and for all I know, she could have her butt hole carved out in one of Jeremy's new 'designs' on her shorts(?) and Jeremy could be going 'all in'.
But
There's a few things I want to point out:
Apparently to Yahoo as well as a bajillion other American news sources, granny panties are the 'thing' right now. Celebrities wear them in public with no shame, you see them in music videos and aren't flabbergasted and of course, they're too hideous and huge to be considered panties in this age of slutdom so of course we have to use them as "shorts".
So maybe CL is just following a trend wearing granny panties?
And
What is really funny is how a lot of Korean netizens are claiming as if they know everything Americans do because of course, every single American is the same exact person and partake in the same exact actions.
In fact, most are saying that 'Americans don't sit on laps because they know what Americans are like through our television through our American Koreaboo friend which is totally, specifically and one hundred percent false especially if that friend is gay.
Lastly, the picture could've been uploaded without much retort just with a little more pants on CL's behalf. Nevertheless, I wouldn't have a problem with netizens not liking the photo, but the fact is that they generalize hundreds of millions of people with irrelevant and unjustified facts? That's crazy. Not to mention, that guy is gayer than the happiest person on Earth. Give her a break.
Review: 2ne1 Do You Love Me
The video: Due to tight schedules because of the song's release date, 2ne1 didn't have the time to record a professional video filled with the glamour and bombastic feeling that we're used to seeing. YG Entertainment instead opted to make a very bold move and shed themselves all the perfection and glitter to have the girls record the music video themselves. How? By simply having a jolly old time with some cameras on deck. This is perhaps the most raw portrayal I've seen of an idol group, possibly ever. Scripted or not, this music video seems more natural and fun than any of 2ne1's other videos. They even had their friends join in on the fun with a little dance party and the girls run around with their phones and record various people with beautiful lady lips mouthing "do you love me?". All the girls look pretty good especially considering the fact that its harder to use lighting and special effects to make them look better with that type of recording style. Park Bom actually moves her face a little; Dara looks kind of dull because of the blond hair; Minzy doesn't look too hot either but that's probably because they didn't get too many good shots of her; and CL, despite not being the most good looking member in the group, oozes a sexy confidence throughout the whole video. There are some parts where they look kind of drunk, though - especially the parts when they're bouncing on the bed and fooling around in the bathroom.
The song: The song starts off right away with a sort of magical, feel good vibe to it (which reminded me a little bit of Epik High's Up) followed by CL chanting "D-O Y-O-U L-O-V-E M-E" which you will hear multiple times throughout the song. I wasn't necessarily impressed by the chanting but it did fit well enough with the song. At first, when they began singing "do you love me?" it sounded out of tune and I thought that maybe Park Bom's singing wasn't quite on point but when CL followed suit in the same tone, I realized it was intentional. After a few listens, I could no longer notice it and I started to like the sound of it. However, Dara nearly ruined the song when her part came up. It's no question that she is not a great singer and her voice is usually drowned out by heavy robotic autotune to hide that fact. Unfortunately, this time they didn't try to hide her voice, nor did they seem to try to fix it, unless even autotune couldn't save the dead sound of her voice. Minzy picks up Dara's slack with her segment, which make's her sound like the best singer in 2ne1 after Dara's terrible vocals (and it seems that she's working her way up with the way Park Bom's vocals are slowly deteriorating). Dara's first segment was bad enough, but she has yet another part in the song. Granted, it's not as bad as the first time because it lacks that high note that is terribly off pitch. Perhaps it was to make her sound slightly better in comparison.
Overall opinon: Though this isn't one of 2ne1's best songs, it is a pretty decent track. It would have been even better if YG had cut off the fat (so to speak) and made Dara's parts smaller or drowned out the sound of her voice the way they usually do. The music video's style was unique and quite good compared to all the other experimental videos other groups have been releasing throughout the year.
What do you think? Did you like this new music video style?

Web Surfing: 2NE1's 'I'm the Best' was plagiarized?

I found this track through a friend who sent it to me and I seriously just laughed while listening to it. I'm not sure if the track was supposed to be a joke or serious, but either way, it sucks. Haven't listened to it yet? Check it out below!
Review: 2NE1 - Falling In Love
The music video: The music video follows the general format with shots of the girls dancing, numerous close ups, and few slow motion beauty shots here and there. What sets this video apart from others is the high production values involved from the various sets, to the outfits, to the make up, all coming together beautifully. Every little bit of the visuals were near perfect and it's not hard to tell that a lot of effort was put into the making of this video. However, it's still perfectly clear that Park Bom can barely move her face despite their attempts to hide it. Minzy's pink hair is also questionable. It just doesn't seem to fit her. The dance is simple and fun and matches the upbeat tone of the music video. Plus, the girls look like they're genuinely having fun on the set pulling you into that feeling of relaxing and having fun. The song: Though the lyrics follow your typical love song, the melody has this upbeat, reggae, summertime feel to it and an addictive melody. The breaks in the song where the girls chant "touch me over here, touch me over there," makes you feel as though I should get up and dance along to the beat. I have to say that though I was surprised to hear Minzy taking the forefront with her singing, her vocals were smooth and on point and made the song more enjoyable. Dara's parts were heavily auto tuned, drowning out any of her actual vocals, but it fit the 2ne1 style of music. CL got a chance to redeem herself from her train wreck of a song Baddest Female, delivering her raps on beat, providing a great transition between the singing and rapping without it feeling unnecessary and randomly tacked on in an attempt include the rapper of the group. The only clear flaw I can see (or rather hear) would be the opening of the song where there is this strange auto tuned screaming. Every time I hear it, I can't help but laugh like crazy.

The Future of Idol Groups: 2NE1 Edition

A few weeks ago, Girls' Generation's future was the topic at hand on this short and unconventional series "The Future of Idol Groups", me, predicting and explaining the possibility of fame after disbandment one-by-one and putting the 9 girls in order from least to greatest. Likewise, on this article of YG Entertainment's leading girl group, 2NE1, I will state my prediction of the possibility of fame after disbandment, ordered from least to greatest.
1. She's still has yet to hold their solo debut (she's actually the only member of 2NE1 who has left to do that!)
2. Let's be honest, Minzy isn't exactly matching Korean beauty standards... without that, is her singing talent that great to make up for her lack of visuals?
3. Lastly, even if she did have a solo debut, I would expect it to do the poorest out of all of 2NE1's solo debuts... for what reason? I don't know. It just seems like out of all of them, she has the least overall presence in the group regardless of the fact that she has the most talent.
In third place is the unnie who's not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good, CL. Having her solo debut with The Baddest Female only a few weeks ago and all-killing despite the overall deficit of the song, she proved that she could hold a music career without the other three 2NE1 girls at her side. Regardless of her placing in such a low spot, I think she has a much greater chance than fourth place's Minzy, her biggest tools being her large fan base and of course, her charisma.
After a pretty hard decision, 2NE1's visual, Sandara Park, placed in second place. She can sing pretty meh, she can dance pretty meh... but, she is pretty. Not to mention, she already had her 2NE1 solo debut which topped charts as well as prior to 2NE1's debut, she was a arguably successful actress in the Philippines, having two career paths she could choose from.
Lastly, my 2NE1 love Park Bom places first place. Even though she is my 2NE1 bias, I placed her in first because I actually do think she has an extremely large chance of becoming a solo singer after the disbandment of 2NE1. Her previous solo songs, You & I and Don't Cry (which both left me sniffling after watching the videos), both all-killed as well as the song she featured in, I Had an Affair. And although every time we see her she looks worse and worse, I have no doubt in my mind that she could definitely be the next Baek Ji Young.
In addition, I'd like to end with their future as a whole. With YG Entertainment's management hints as well as their video "Future 2NE1 (4 Years Later)", it seems somewhat evident that they're not planning to keep 2NE1 around for much longer. Debuting in 2009 with their unexpected song, Fire, which made them skyrocket to fame almost immediately, 2NE1 has been together for four years already, and this year in 2013, them, being proudly able to proclaim themselves as one of Korea's top girl groups. With my guess, 2NE1 will probably last 2 more years before fading out or going their own separate ways, mostly because:
a) As said in the Girls' Generation post, they are females. Of course, they're not females whom men tend to fetishize over due to their tough-girl concept, but they are females who may have future goals, dreams and aspirations towards the future... don't understand? you can look at b for further clarification.
b) Park Bom and Sandara Park are either 30 years old or are almost in their 30's... meaning, they'll either have thoughts of settling down soon or have thoughts of leaving the group and pursuing a solo career. Usually, girl group members who're near their 30's or have members in their 30's (for example: Brown Eyed Girls) aim towards a sexy and mature concept because it's appropriate for their age, but being that the 2NE1 girls are still mixing themselves with the cute, tough and basically juvenile/teenage image, they have to begin expunging themselves from that... the conflicting ages making it somewhat hard for them to follow through on that.
Furthermore, I expect at least 2 girls from 2NE1 to remain in the spotlight, the others, fading into the darkness.

Review: CL - 나쁜 기집애 (THE BADDEST FEMALE) M/V
Better late than never, only a few days ago, 2NE1's 'baddest female' CL released her solo debut music video ironically entitled 'The Baddest Female', featuring the Teddy, Big Bang's G-Dragon, Big Bang's Taeyang and much more. If you haven't watched the video, you can watch it below.
Before I start, let me just give a quick shout out to YG Entertainment.
Dear, YG! Making everyone wait for the 2NE1 comeback even more was a great move! Dropping this song which really was pretty damn disappointing a supposed month before the girls comeback (knowing YG, it'll probably be a little longer)? That really just put the icing on the cake. You're really great, YG, you know that? Really great.
Best wishes,
T
The song
The song... hm... what do I say about the song? It was disappointing. It was a song that will get old after a while. It was average... at most. There were some parts of the song I liked, for example, the chorus wasn't half bad and neither was the part where she phonetically spelled "기집애" however, most other parts of the song weren't memorable, at all. Also, the bridge where she started speaking in English was really... no. I mean, "Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good"? Are you sure a two-year old didn't write those lyrics? And what is up with her mispronunciation? Is it on purpose or what?
Apart from that, I am probably one of the only people on the world who likes the part 'Do the unnie'. Sure, saying 'Do the older sister' is kind of weird but, of course, it kind of ties in with the dance.
The video
The video wasn't... bad, however, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who was reminded of G-Dragon's - One of a Kind partially because of the part where she danced in the white room in that pimped-out sailor outfit. Also, I probably never saw CL look that good in any of their other videos. I liked all the outfit changes and more or less the whole video because it actually looked like time was spent in it.
Nevertheless, I'm still kind of wondering where G-Dragon's pants went and why CL had that ugly as fuck grill in her mouth. She definitely was not working that, at all.
The dance
The dance was probably the best part about this solo debut, me, actually wanting to 'do the unnie' after watching the video.
To Sum It All Up
Though my hopes were up for this month being 2NE1's comeback, YG Entertainment instead went with releasing CL's solo debut, ultimately disappointing in song quality however, not in video or dance quality. If you're a fan of grills, One of a Kind and slurred words, you should definitely check out this video.

Media: 2NE1 CL's Teaser Photo for 'The Baddest Female'... Uh
Only a few days ago, YG Entertainment released the first teaser photo for 2NE1's CL solo track entitled 'The Baddest Female'... and, well.
I am utterly speechless. Yeah, it's nice. It's cool.
But... she's not gorgeous in it.
Nope.
Don't get the wrong idea, I like 2NE1.
But, this? This, for me is absolutely too much.
Her clothes from the waist down. CHECK HER CLOTHES FROM THE WAIST DOWN.
And that thing on her face. It's cool, very cool... but no so cool if it's compared to her outfit.
Not to mention, the background's strange also.
IS YG'S STYLIST ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING?
