Girls' Generation members Yuri, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun (from left) all met up on Beatles Code 2 and were put on the spot about plastic surgery allegations. The conversation went down like this:

When referring to Taeyeon’s past photo, MC Tak Jae Hoon stated: Your face has changedHa Chun Hwa: Why do you keep bring up plastic surgery?
Shindong: Doesn't that frustrate you?
Tiffany: We go to the airport one time a week  so our pictures are taken at least one time a week. Our concepts change frequently. Therefore whenever our hairstyles change or we lose or gain some weight, the question always comes up and people say “Their faces are different” even though our pictures were taken just the week before..
Tak Jae Hoon: The girls’ faces seem to change every day
Taeyeon: It's amazing what makeup can do.
SNSD: We don't worry about the rumors anymore...

Though the topic about plastic surgery came up, I want to point out that none of the Girls’ Generation members who appeared on the show really even answered the question on whether or not they went under the knife. The only thing they really did was brush it aside with saying that people address the rumors frequently, but they never answered the true question: Are the rumors true?

And although many believers of Girls’ Generation being “Natural Generation” crawl articles about this topic and say that their unnirs are perfect, we all know the truth-- even with make-up, weight loss, aging, editing, lighting and many more variables in the equation that are used as part of an argument defending Girls’ Generation of how they would appear different, such parts of the body like the nose tip and the jawline cannot be altered without cosmetic work being done.
In addition, I really have no problem with people going under the knife, however, when people deny it or just push it aside when it’s undeniably obvious is something that has to be addressed.

  1. The reason why most celebrities never directly answer the question is because there is no upside to doing so. If you answer it and say you did, there will be a few people like you saying "I'm glad you're finally admitting," but on the other hand, there will be hordes of fangirls shitting all over them. If they deny it, retarded Sones will use that as proof and more rumors will come about with people actively trying to prove that SNSD got plastic surgery. That's why celebrities divert away from the question because it doesn't help them in any way.

    1. This is so true. I work at a radio station and interview artists from time to time. Over the last decade I've routinely interviewed one particular well-known artist who has had allegations of racism follow him through his entire career. He would openly admit that he wasn't a racist to me privately but would never do so while we were on-air, and was in fact very good at deftly avoiding directly answering such questions! When I asked him why, he mentioned another artist in his field who did directly address and deny such rumours and how it hadn't helped their career at all and that they simply weren't believed anyway and still carried the "racists" tag.

Also, to be fair, another reason why SNSD didn't directly answer the question "did you have plastic surgery" is because it wasn't directly asked.

    2. However, in the past, they have actually been directly asked the question. For example, SNSD Jessica had been addressed the question and answered "No", however, it seems false to me.

I would kind of agree with what you're saying about how hordes of fangirls would start a riot, yet, numerous OTHER celebrities who are popular in the K-Pop idol industry, like Hyorin which was the most recent tbh admitted she had plastic surgery.

Exactly. Jessica's answer "seems false" because it doesn't match the answer that you already have in your head, that you want to hear. That's why they don't bother. If they don't give netizens and the public the answer that they already have set on in their minds, they won't be believed. If they DID have surgery (like Hyorin), then this isn't a problem, but if they DIDN'T, they've got two choices - lie and say that they did just to please the public (and then receive psycholgical fallout from living the lie), or tell the truth and be branded as liars. It's a lose/lose. Better in that situation to just keep your mouth shut.

    1. I agree with this however the Yoona is a natural beauty thing seems false to me. Taeyeon and Yuri look the same however, there are pictures of Yoona from before and after like nose tip looking pointier and her jaw looking leaner online.

    2. Yoona has had her jaw shaved.
